Variability of seed germination on the third day and initial growth of sunflower hybrid seedlings at different temperatures

چکیده
The paper presents the results of testing seed germination and initial growth seedlings four sunflower hybrids: 2950, 2951, 3007, 3009) at different temperatures: 20° C, 25°C, 30°C. In all hybrids tested, highest seeds was achieved a temperature 30° C; however, in two tested (2950 3007) no significant difference (p ≥ 0.05) found between C 25° C. Correlation interdependence stem positive statistically (r=0.576p ≤ 0.05), while but not also determined radicle (r=0.252p 0.05).

Optimizing Seed Germination and Growth of Seedlings in Persian Walnut
The efficiency of conventional stratification methods for seed germination of walnut (Juglans regia L.), which uses long moist-chilling periods, is low. This experiment was conducted during winter to spring 2014 to optimize the seed germination of walnut ‘Chandler’ via changing growing media and removing seed mechanical dormancy. Fourteen treatments were tested. None of the seeds germi...

The Growth of Cucumis Melo Seedlings at Different Temperatures
The work of Julius Sachs (10) published in 1860, and in particular his discussion of the results, served to introduce two concepts into plant physiology, that of minimal, optimal, and maximal temperatures, and that of the grand period of seedling growth. Each of these phenomena has received the attention of numerous workers since that time but there have been relatively few attempts to combine ...
متن کاملThe Effect of Different Water Potentials on Seed Germination and Growth of some Persian Walnut Populations
In this study, seven walnut populations (Rabor, Hanza, Sardoueih, Dalfard, Bidkhan, Dehbakri, and Baft) were selected from Kerman province and compared for drought stress tolerance. Water potential between 0 and -1.5 MPa was obtained by polyethylene glycol 6000 solutions. Germination percentage, leaf relative water content (LRWC), and growth parameter of seedlings diminished with increasing dro...
